Yesterday was my first day on the floor at Nordstrom.

I like it alot.  This one may actually be a keeper.  The first day i shadowed a coworker... I got 5 blisters and 3 of them popped and bled. Yea.. so gross, i know.  That may have been because i wore 3 inch heals..  But i have new shoes now so it should be ok.

anyway.. on the job topic. I was talking to Trung about getting a new job and he had to point out how i've had so many of them... and it made me want to count them all..

8. J Tokyo Restaurant (I got hired and did 2 days of training and then never went back or got paid. This one doesn't really count.. but since i was went through some training i threw it in.)

Crazy.. I might be forgetting some too haha. This is all within a 9 year period.. I've kept a few of them for decent  lengths of time too.

anyway.. I really only wrote an entry because of the lack of entries in here.  Come on everybody.. let's keep Livejournal alive!! Lol.. i know, i'm a dork. Tell me something I don't know =).

OK... I'm ready to quit.. 

i need to find a new job before i get lung cancer.. i can't take this second-hand smoke any longer!!

im currently at work right now.. my job is very easy so far. i work monday through friday, 9-6. if i had to give you my job title it would probably be "office assistant".  i work for CERASYS INC., a dental lab (not to be confused with a dental office) in buena park. im going to work full time until i get accepted into a nursing program.  school is pretty much put on hold since all i need to do is go through nursing school. ill have my associates degree in science for the meantime; i wanted my credits to be worth something until i got into a program. if i don't get accepted for this fall, then i will have to continue taking 6 units minimum at cypress just so that i dont have to pay for my loans yet. back to the subject of work, my job is mainly to answer the phones... i also deal with packaging and assembling cases that need to be sent out, sticking day stickers on incomong cases, and dealing with accounts payable/recievable. not bad.. right? my job so far has been stressless. there is one major downfall: my coworkers smoke. i hate the smell of cigarette smoke, its one of my pet peeves. but the good thing is that since i've been working here, i've noticed their smoke sessions are beginning to decrease.. because of course i've given hints that i don't like when they smoke.

i have three weeks left of this semester... after which i plan to make the gym my second home :) 

my husband is doing well. he works 9-5 everday except sunday, and on sunday they just give him random job duties throughout the day. hehe i love saying that.. "my husband..." im very used to it now. 

anyway... i miss everyone on livejournal... where did you all go??? haha

i'm at work. i got my paycheck last night and learned that everytime i work a night shift, i make 50cents more per hour! kind of a big deal since i haven't been scheduled to work a lot lately and need the money for my upcoming trip to the philippines and for christmas.

speaking of my upcoming trip...
it's coming up soo fast... and that means sooty is leaving soon :(! i've been so depressed about him going to iraq. the only way i can cope with the idea of him leaving is when i don't think about it at all.

so then let's start a new subject..
i hate school... i'm going to apply to nursing programs in january. im obviously so stressed out about that. it's been stressful enough just doing the research of what requirements each school has; which reminds me, i had to go to western to pick up my hs transcripts... omg.. it was so weird being back on campus... kinda sad too, i felt like high school was a million years ago. i've grown so much since western; i guess that's what the after-high-school-life does to you. not so much college. college didnt really do much to me except help me realize what a lazy person i can be.. and how hard it is to have to work and go to school at the same time. as for graduating... i'm not so much in a rush anymore... i mean, yes, i'd love to have my degree and all, but at the same time i don't want to be finished and have nothing really to work for (school wise). i've been workin 8 years of my life already and i am not looking forward to working full time just yet.

anyways.. i should be getting back to work now.. a patient just walked in :(
